The BIID therefore prioritises projects and programmes that are able to integrate several drivers of transformation within a single development pathway.
These sectors are not viewed as isolated compartments. Many projects combine several dimensions — energy, infrastructure, industry, mineral resources, digital technology, finance, skills and regional development — and require an integrated understanding of their interdependencies. The BIID therefore prioritises projects and programmes capable of combining several drivers of transformation within a single development pathway.
However, the fact that a project falls within a priority sector does not constitute automatic selection or a guarantee of funding. Each initiative is assessed on the basis of the relevance of the need, the maturity of the project, its viability, its capacity for implementation, its risks, its expected impact and the actual conditions for mobilising resources.
