BIID monitors the projects in its portfolio and facilitates contact between them and investors, financial institutions, technical partners and other stakeholders likely to contribute to their implementation. Each opportunity is monitored according to its stage of development, its funding requirements, the partners involved, the due diligence carried out and the decisions still to be taken.
Sensitive information and due diligence documents remain subject to the applicable access levels and confidentiality rules.
Expressions of interest received are recorded and assessed in the light of the partner’s mandate, the nature of their involvement, the instruments that can be mobilised, and their compatibility with the project’s needs. Where the conditions are met, BIID facilitates the establishment of contact, organises access to authorised information and coordinates the exchanges necessary for the operation to proceed.
Monitoring also covers the project’s progress: data updates, progress in structuring the project, additional requests, partners approached, due diligence, negotiations and changes in status. This traceability enables the BIID to maintain an up-to-date overview of its portfolio and to clearly distinguish between expressions of interest, ongoing discussions and commitments that have actually been formalised.
Sensitive information and due diligence documents remain subject to the applicable access levels and confidentiality rules. An expression of interest does not, in itself, constitute either a funding commitment or an investment decision.
